What kind of wood that’s used in wooden floors depends on your location…

I assume from you saying its an ex council flat that you live in the UK?

The colour doesn’t say much = as the wood might have been stained.

So without seeing a picture I’m taking a wild guess of either Oak or Pine.

Hi really helpful this thanks for posting it !! I was wandering if you or somebody could help me, im struggling to identify what wood flooring is in my house, i have no building experience atall ! My house is ex council and ive heard they are built solidly as they are designed to last, my floor looks quite a bright colour ( almost beech ), Hope you or someone can help me !!
