If you , like me , like using your laptop whilst sitting on a couch or a bed , you might want to consider something called a  laptop cooling pad.A laptop cooling pad or chill pad is a pretty inexpensive accessory for a laptop that cools it down at times when in might be improperly used. The problem with laptops are that they are made to be as compact as possible.This leaves your laptop with a rather tiny fan ,that in a lot of cases are inadequate to cool your laptop down to a sufficient enough temperature.

On top of a pretty small fan , the fact that people are using their laptops on their laps , further decrease the laptop’s ability to cool itself down. Laptop manufacturers state that excessive overheating of a laptop will affect your laptop’s performance and can lead to damage of the laptop’s components.That is exactly what happened to me a while back. I was sitting in bed , playing a game and my laptop’s fans started sounding like an airplane wanting to take off! A couple of minutes later the laptop froze and then the power just went off due to overheating.

I went online and found a cooling pad that was recommended for my size and brand of laptop and decided on a Logitech Cooling pad. I personally think that most of the pads available are pretty similar, as most cooling pads uses built-in fans to cool your laptop down. By the way – my cooling pad gets its power from plugging it into my laptop’s USB port. Just one thing I think you should look at when selecting a cooling pad is the location of your own laptop’s temperature vents. Make sure that the cooling pad actually facilitates air leaving your laptop and that it doesn’t block it.

The Cooling pad has definitely cooled my laptop down considerably and its own fans are without a doubt not working as much as previously.Something like this is surely inexpensive compared to the cost of your laptop,so seriously consider getting a cooling pad , as it will definitely increase the performance and longevity of your laptop.
