All standard windows based PC’s and laptops come with Windows Internet Explorer installed on it already. The top 3 web browsers ,according to market share, is Windows Internet Explorer(40%) , Firefox (30%) and Google Chrome (15%).For me a change  as well as having options are always welcomed and I would like to tell you guys about Mozilla Firefox Web browser ,as an alternative to the standard Windows Internet Explorer

The Firefox by djog Firefox Web Browser

Mozilla Firefox is an open source and free web browser that in my opinion is way faster and cleaner than the stock Windows Internet Browser. Firefox also offers personal customization to suit your individual needs. This is done via loads of free extensions and plugins. Firefox runs on all operating systems , i.e Windows , Mac , Linux etc.

From a security point of view I think Mozilla offers safer browsing ,as vulnerabilities can be addresses quicker ,seeing that  it is open source.  Mozilla’s official site indicates that they are committed to a continued and pro-active approach when it comes to browser security. Here is a video on Firefox and it’s security features found on their website:

The ability to restore your previous browsing session and a superior management of tabs definitely adds to Firefox’s positives when comparing it to other web browsers. You are also automatically informed whenever there are any updates available for  Firefox or any of its plugins. I have used Mozilla for a couple of years now and have to say that something really drastic needs to happen in order for me to change web browsers. If  you want to see Firefox in action , check out their official site at Firefox.com.
